De-Stress With Our Peppermint White Chocolate Matcha Latte

This peppermint matcha latte will get you in the spirit of the season as well as help you stay sane during the holiday craziness.

We know that our readers tend to experience low energy and burn out. The unfortunate thing is the combination of excess stress, sugar, and busyness during the holidays can compound the symptoms you currently experience.

Here’s the scenario:

It’s Saturday and you’ve hit the snooze button one too many times. In an effort to get back on track, you rush around the house to prepare for your errands instead of leisurely reading the paper and sipping on tea like you planned.

Skipping breakfast at home, promise yourself you’ll get a protein shake at the mall as you slam the car door. You get some of your errands done and treat yourself to that shake (which is much sweeter than you’d like) but then a cold wave washes over you.

You just remembered you promised you’d bring an entree to the holiday party tonight. The rest of your errands will have to wait for another day as you rush over to the store to get ingredients for the dish you planned to make.

Sound familiar?

We think it’s possible to have a restorative holiday and we want to make sure that you are getting the stress support you need.

This matcha latte tastes exactly like delicious white peppermint hot chocolate!  However, it has some special ingredients to support your adrenals that I’d like to share.

Matcha powder is a stimulant but a lot less strong than coffee. It supports your nervous system by calming your mind. It provides a gentle boost of energy rather than increasing cortisol and adrenaline.

Siberian Ginseng (eleuthero root) is an adaptogen, menaing it helps your body adapt to stress.

Pearl powder is an anti aging herb that will help reduce wrinkles. It also helps calm the heart and tastes amazing with matcha.

Cacao butter is the fat from cacao (chocolate) beans. It gives the natural white chocolate taste. When you blend it with a warm tea the drink will become like a creamy latte. In Calgary, you can get it at The Light Cellar or through Spud.

We hope you enjoy this deliciously festive matcha latte! You can try it along with one of our adrenal healing snacks. Check them out here.
